Shocked and saddened by this news.
Wayne was a forum legend. One of the old guard from the days when no one had gears. Condolences to his family.
RIP BDW -

The gentlest of all the gentlemen. I am absolutely gutted to hear of his passing. Ride in peace buddy. Rides to Oxford, many many polo sessions, lots of pub times, huge grins.

Fucking hell. Wayne. Always the nicest gentlest man with a terrible sense of humour. We worked together drank together, rode together. I hope wherever you are now you're smiling dude.
I'm just bowled over by this

Super sad times. RIP BDW. Grumpy rides were the best, ending with coffee t yours. The world has lost a lovely man and the best designer I have known. I love love your work as you always had the wittiest ideas and you crafted them beautifully. You taste in music was excellent too and I loved going to bright times in the old days. A total legend! I haven't seen any of you lately but you are always in my heart.

Wayne, you gave me and others so much over the years. Helped me in more ways than i can think of right now. You were one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
You were a stubborn bastard, and I loved you for it.RIP friend.

This has taken a while to sink in, really couldn't believe it when I heard...
I first met Wayne at a Souths BBQ back in 2008, standing quietly by the door, nodding his head to the tunes - he always had impeccable taste in music.
For me, more than anyone else, Wayne was the conscience of the forum. He had that ability to cut through the bullshit with a few well-chosen and utterly fucking sensible words - usually ending with "gaffer". But the thing with Wayne was that his values and principles were so absolutely on the money, you just knew he was right. Someone to aspire to be. If the phrase "what would xxxx do/say?" was invented for anyone, it was Wayne.
As all the posts on this thread show, he will be missed very, very badly. x
