  • You don't need a graphics card if you're sticking to not gaming. You definitely don't need an sli rated motherboard if you're not gaming. I'm suspicious about them bumping up the price to use the on board graphics though.
Do you need 512GB of ssd space? That's expensive. Do you need a blu-ray player? Expensive, tvs take USB now anyway.

  • The price should be lower with on-board graphics. Adding the Asus to it added 50 quid I think.
Yeah, onboard gfx is "- £53.32" as in minus £53, that's not a dash.

I own GTA (some number) but I don't play it since my good card died and I replaced it with cheapass 2d one - this might change if I actually had a card with enough grunt to play it.

'NEED' 512gb, well, no, of course not. I could get away with 100 for a boot drive. But then I'll get annoyed that I didn't buy a bigger one and use it for installing apps onto to give them a speed boost too. Basically, I've bought one new laptop and a used desktop in 11 years and for a so-called computer geek that's pretty shite, so now I'm treating myself so I don't have to bother for another 10 years :)

I now have a bluray player for the TV and I like owning discs as opposed to 'digital content' so why not own a blu-ray writer? Again, not sure if I'll 'need' it but it's a nice to have, ya know?
