  • was what was heard on radio this morning ... i think ... can't find any evidence currently

  • Went over past Clowbridge on Boxing Day. "Puddles" on the road were about two feet deep and long enough that our car had its number plate come off.

  • Oh dear, all relative I suppose. Before the river and drains were altered a year back, it's been 10ft deep in Crawshawbooth twice since we've lived up here. With the river at its highest levels ever by a big margin, I was expecting not being to get through.

  • Bit chilly this morning in London Town?

  • No. Fresh. Maybe.

  • -8C in town up here.
    Which unusually cold for us.

    Nice and dry though.

  • 2 weeks of solid rain pretty much up here in Aberdeen, plus storm force winds - yesterday was probably the worst I've seen standing water on roads, it was absolutely mental - today blue skies and now freezing temperatures forecast, with 2 'threats to life' warnings in place

fuck this I wanna move :(

  • thermals at the ready

  • Time to go from regular shorts to 3/4 then?

  • Properly springlike today. Shorts and t-shirt all the way

  • it was 17c in my lounge last night without any central heating

    still 16c now .... it's january

    bonkers

  • Careful, the advice from Age UK is to heat your home to at least 18C.

Have you got someone coming round to keep an eye on you? Are you OK for cheese?

  • We had some of mrs_com's relatives stay over the weekend. They like a warm house so the heating was set to 21 all weekend. Way too hot for me but I didn't mind. Heating went off at 7am yesterday and was still 17.5 this morning.

  • Shorts and t-shirt all the way

And the prize for the most redundant sentence ever uttered goes to...

  • wish our summers were as nice as this !

  • Heating is broken, energy inefficient house (single glazing, crap insulation), temperature has varied between about 12 and 14. Which is a little cold when you're sitting around.

  • Fucking hell it's windy, riding a massively heavy, high sided bike and working outside is not going to be fun today.

  • What you need is one of those deliveroo boxes and a double disc.

  • And a rain cape, a big flappy rain cape

  • I'm riding this.

  • This?
