Is that a hole in your stem in image http://s9.postimg.org/b94upehr3/Deda_piega_36cm.jpg? If so did you drill it or does the stem come with the hole? If the latter who makes it?

No extra holes, probably a blemish or dirt. It is a syntace f139 stem

Crisscross decal with an exacto knife cutting into the decal but not the paint underneath.
Soak in acetone.
Scratch/rub gently with a wood dowel or plastic spacer brick: something semihard. Watch out for not going too deep into the paint.
The clearcoat on top gets removed as well so it is not seamless. (And I started/practised on the nondrive side which is not so nice :) A couple of nicks and scratches)Finish with clearcoat (I havent done this step yet because I am lazy.)

No I'm using it :)
I got tired of wet feet so I put it on for winter commuting.I've made some progress with the rear brake, and I'm close to a testing prototype for further fiddling:
The plan is to use it with a rear hub modded to something like 112mm x 10mm thru axle "standard". The thru axle goes through the hole to the right and the left side is fastened to the chainstay via the black clampCombined with sliding brackets on the inside of both the track-ends that convert them to thru axle dropouts. A bit like 12mmx142mm mtb dropouts work but in a sliding version:

Brake mod looking good, that all fits on the inside of the track ends within the sliding brackets, or have I got that wrong? And assume the horizontal strip to mount the caliper is in steel yeah? And then the chainstay clamp allows it all to slide to get chain tension? I like!

Excellent work. What's the third small part in the middle photo in the bottom left corner? Also where did you get what looks like a CAD drawing of a wheel with rotor on, on which your components are drawn?
I'm not sure my hubs could easily loose 4 mm from each side without seriously attacking the lockouts. It's a shame as I quite fancy a disc version. Especially after seeing this post.
Can't wait to see the end result.

yes actually the finished bracket should double as THE sliding/chain tensioner bracket on the left side.

yes, original idea was to make it all in a single piece of aluminium, but that got a bit complex so now it more of a mockup to get a feel of the dimensions and then maybe something refined later...

Well sort of. The clamp stays in place on the chainstay holding the small platform (weird wedge shape) fixed and then the sliding steel bracket is bolted to that. The chainstay narrows inwards toward the BB so there is only one spot where it and the steel bracket intersects.
But everything needs testing before I'm certain...

I used this drawing with a 160mm adapter from shimano/bike24 + a picture of a dolan track end (+ some rough "photo mapping"/ matching scales )

Excellent thanks.
Thinking about this a bit, many manufacturers strengthen the frame by putting a support between the chainstay and seatstay to stop frame flex, eg on the Surly Straggler.
Admittedly the Straggler has the brake mounted to the seatstay.Is the section with the brake going to be substantial enough to avoid flexing or, if alloy, worse still snapping under the breaking forces. The other concern I might have is regarding wheel movement. Unless I misunderstand the above photos you are planning to use a through axle in an adapter on the inside of the track ends. The only bit passing through the track ends will be the axle to the clamp on the outside. I believe that with the brake located above and to the front the brake force will send the wheel up and forwards, but I could be wrong. If correct this would result in the axle slipping forwards and lose of chain tension.
I have a bolt through skewer on a disc bike's front wheel and have been disappointed with it. On a number of occasions it has vibrated loose. None of my normal QRs I've had in the last 20 years ever did. I'm going to try a DT Swiss RWS version and see if it improves.

yes aluminium frame is a big unknown. Will get interesting later!
Wheel movement will be up and towards rear if any. When I used the pompetamine dropouts normally (before sliding dropout conversion) I never had slip on the disc side (sometimes on drive side without a tensioner) with a m6 bolt-on axle.

Polish frame probably a better value and darn sight more flexible in getting exactly what you want.
My main concern is that those Dolan aren't the strongest of frames, cracking near the BB is not uncommon but does happen, so putting a lots of effort and times for a frames that may not last a while.
Steep angle as in 73 degrees headtube? a fair number of frames have that, that or more rake on the fork helped.
