  • Mrs Ratty presented me with a bit of a tricky one at the weekend. She races on a Cervelo S5 and has a Croix de Fer as her winter trainer/commuter/pub bike. Given she is pregnant and due in July, she wants to get rid of the current bikes and get one do it all model. She wants it to be:

    1. able to take a baby seat on the back (so rack mounts useful/clearance for big tyres)
    2. reasonably light and fast for when she wants to get back into training
    3. compatible with our Wahoo Kickr for when she feels like getting back on that.

I think discs would be good (given doesn't need to be race legal and the need for big tyres) but the Kickr apparently hits problems with rotors smaller than 160mm.

Was thinking Genesis Datum, but the thru-axel would potentially be a pain on the Kickr, so standard QR might be best. Any ideas v welcome as I'm coming up a bit short! Thanks!
