When in Stratford...
So when the breakdown service arrived, after an hour and a half, the guy tried to start the car and it fired up first time, running beautifully. He commented on how quiet and smooth the engine was.
He reckons it is the distributor cap. I was equally relieved, amused, and furious.

I'm sitting in my car in Stratford Centre multi-storey.
No-one stays sitting in their car here by choice.
The car park manager has just come over and said 'these cars aren't supposed to do that'.
