That gear ratio looks very knee friendly.

I live in Derbyshire, we have big hills here :)). No the stem is one I had lying around Cinelli chrome, I am looking for a vintage Cinelli when I see one for the right money.

Hi anidel, Sorry i have been busy at work, yes the project is coming along. I have added a back brake, after a near miss on a test ride ! the new levers are now on and I have found a lovely set of 1950 Phillips philite pedals with a set of clips and original red leather straps. ( blow the knee ) I am still looking for a good period stem and I still need to clean up the seat post I have. I will take some more photos when I get a moment. The frame is really something special, the lugs are finished really nice, they even compete with my Mercian's and the rear stays are so slender. It really rides well to, very bright and lively for at frame that is 62 years old.

Neat! I like the red and green combination.
the red of the tape and brake cables alongside the red on the QR covers, looks smart.
One thing, maybe the saddle, but overall I really like it.
Great frame, great color!Well done.

Thanks, yes I agree about the saddle, I would like a 50's brooks, I will keep looking for the right one :) I have a period seatpost ready to go on and I would like a allez stem (original holdsworth ) but they dont turn up that often. I want a bike I can ride, not a show piece, I think bike should be ridden otherwise its a waste of the frame builders time.

Here is my latest project, a 1954 Holdsworth Zephyr. She has original paint with patina :) and sports period parts. The aero levers have gone, nice old school now reside with outie cables. I have to ride clipless pedals as my knee is shot :( .... So hay hum. I also have a nice campag 1950 seatpost to add, when I get round to giving so elbow grease. So come on what do you all think of her.
