  • The Italian market foe Colnago is one of the most expensive in my experience, going by on line auctions, I hope a good deal was negotiated!

  • I agree yes however he has negotiated what seems to be around 65 per cent of what they are selling for but he is buying 5/6 at a time so that perhaps is the appeal to the seller.
He strips them and here in the UK and has been a great source for me. Every time I go and see him there is always something to tempt me.
I keep telling him he will go to hell for breaking them.
Smashing guy too, he's a long long history with Italian bikes and all things Campag with an incredible knowledge base.

  • seems like he's knows what he's doing!

  • that master corsa is exquisite btw!

  • Here's some photos of his front room!

  • Yeah that's a bit special. Victory group which I've not seen on a master but looks nice. He's told its NOS but I'm dubious looking at it. I kinda hope he doesn't buy it otherwise I'll have a big problem on my hands when I see him next.

He's bought 2 or 3 bikes Colnago, gios and a battaglin with c rec groups and deltas which he's kindly offered me first refusal on the pick of the best for the Alan carbonio I'm building. Apparently they've mostly got intact logos which seems quite rare nowadays.

  • who needs furniture anyway!

  • victory was around 86 so more or less right period wise i suppose

  • Colnago Carbon Fibre saddle. black with red paint underneath. Very comfy and hard to come by: £40

  • Hi guys, did that colour scheme belong to a pro team?

  • Love those early masters with the short point lugs
    Very nice !

  • Ok fellas - I hate to rehash this old SuperMexico debate but I've just read something interesting and would like to know if there's any truth to it.

I've just read from a girl who claims to know 'for sure' that the clover stamp on the bottom of the Supers have a pointed stem on the bottom, like the grey one in the pic. Flat stem bottom like on the red and gold ones here are indicative of Mexicos. Apparently.

So all you Mexico-Super owners, what kind of stamp ya got?

  • I question whether those bottom two are actually Colnago at all, both differ

  • bottom bracket cut-out is not a strong enough indicator, post up pics of each frame pls..

  • Here's a '78 Mexico one I have. I'll do some more shots of supers and another Mexico tonight

  • ah well JusCos, if you know that's fer sure a mexico then there goes that theory

  • Hi. I'm sure it is but I will post up more pictures of the frame later so the jury can decide. It's been stripped down of all it's components now so should be able to get it from all angles.

  • Right here you go, lousy photos but you get the idea
