  • I'm guessing it's to keep the spoke lengths the same as the Rohloff.

  • Victoire saw that customer comin' - all that extra cost just adds complexity and possible wheel compromise, not to mention it fucks up the aesthetics of one of the more beautiful and functional hubs out there.

  • I think they've done this so it's easy to remove the hub, as a service requires the hub being sent back to Taiwan, the bearings are pressed in with a 1 ton hydraulic press, so are not user serviceable.

    Still probably easier to unbuild the wheel.
