More playing tonight, this time with the day-one.. new Canti brakes came.. tight fit at the front due to rack.. Also there was a fitting kit missing, although I had one in the garage.. but will get on to SJS in the morning and get it replaced..
Enough spending for a while!!

Is the camera case for your camera, or are you using it as some sort of little bike pouch?
(I have the same one - although now it's much shabbier)

That is awesome in that colour.. I'm having issues with my front mech, it's very hard to pull, even using your hand on the downtube cable..

Nice! Thinking about getting one on the bike scheme.

Having serious bother with my front gear changing, not sure if it's the shifter or mech, but have been toying with the idea of a 1x10 setup.. is it just a matter of swapping out the front ring? to something like a 42T? or do I need to do anything else? I have a 11-28T on the back and currently it's a 39 / 53 up front..

With regards to your front derailleur trouble, check out art's cyclery on utoob.

Will do cheers, you ran a 1x10 setup on yours, did you just use the original 10 speed chain and cassette?
front mech has about 60 miles on it, but just seems extremely hard to move, even by hand.. so makes it's even harder with the shifter..
-

Yes it just a matter of swapping the front ring to a 42t.
But to be honest, it sound like something that can be fixed, having said that, you may benefit more from a compact 50/34 chainset (or 46/34).

Yep. 10spd chain and cassette, with raceface narrow wide 40t ring. Currently running 1x11 on the Giant, 42t with 11-32 cassette, all but the steepest the Peaks has to offer seem doable.

cheers, yeah just been out tweaking it on the bike stand, so it does seem a bit better, pulled the cable more over the back of the mech as opposed to under it and it seemed to help.. although I think there is something funny with the shifter, this bit keeps coming loose, I have just replaced it too.. main lever support

I did, but I had this type of saddle on my very first proper bike so wanted the build to reflect that...

Very close to completing my very own Genesis Fugio.
Been a year in the making due to financial restrictions after getting the frameset as a Christmas present in 2014.
Decided to swap out the entire drivetrain last minute (pre-bump: Quality parts up for grabs soon), so just waiting for the final Hope (cranks & freehub) & SRAM (freewheel, Rival1 deraillieur & LH lever) parts to be delivered.
Had the headset and BB installed when I had the framed faced, otherwise it will be constructed by my own 2 hands.
