I have a palpable feeling that's a complete reverse of that ... the point where I breath a sigh of relief to get back to town away from the small-town boring places and their starey simpleton racists.
London has a better standard of racist than the sticks. Many racists in London have been to posh schools and have degrees.

You need those if you're going to run the place.
Never again. Went to Uni there, stayed on and spent 7 years before leaving (to 'Ull of all places).
Plenty of friends there so I visit regularly but I'd prefer a LS postcode to a BD one. Problem is that Bradford hasn't changed since I was there 15 years ago...
