They are cables, use cables, or are you after some kind of period correct thing?
-
• #73578
period correct would be nice, yes. Although I'd also take a reco for "this works"

Cables, get some stainless inners and whatever half decent outers are on a roll at your LBS.

It's a little over 5cm of drop.
It's extreme, but with spacers and conical headset, you can replicated the position.
The 63cm Cannondale is a little over 1cm lower than your Canyon.
Decision up to you.

Thank you very much. The foam board should be perfect, I'll give Atlantis a call

Cables are pretty much cables, only slightly different ones are campag specific road ones or sturmey or sachs hub gear things that you'd need to search out specifically. You'll likely just need 2 gear cables, 2 mtb brake cables and some gear and brake outer and ferrules, maybe new straddle cables if you're stuck with cantis.

if you want the shimano branding then sjs have xtr brake and gear cable sets

need some cheap wide wheels for training on my TT bike, and the superstar pave wheels for £99 look like a steal, anyone have any further discount codes at the moment?
-
• #73587
Where do you find them at £99?
-
• #73589
admittedly only in Gold or White, but as my bike is all black I don't really mind...
-
• #73590
Thanks. I searched for 'pave' and nothing showed up.

The cycle to work application I made has taken too long so the bike I was going to get has sold out. I now need to chose a new one (and annoyingly top up the value as my application was for a 2015 model and a bit cheaper - I could increase the amount in the voucher but I don't want to start the process all over again).
Pros and cons for either of these please?
Main appeals to me are hydo discs & mudguard and rack mounts

Just learned I may bot be restricted to Evans so if there are any other options out there for a hydro disc equipped bike of similar spec for similar price, that would be awesome too.

Have you considered the Pinnacle Arkose?
Like those two;

http://www.evanscycles.com/products/pinnacle/arkose-four-2015-adventure-road-bike-ec071308
You'll be extremely hard pressed to find hydraulic in your price point, even with the new cheaper Shimano option.

Any ideas how much roughly it'd cost in tolls to travel the entire length of France in a van?

What song was he singing?

Dogstar covering Locomotive Breath.

Depends where you want to go and how much of a hurry but I did from Calais to Ainsa to Zaragoza to St Sebastian to Calais without paying any tolls.
Decent maps should differentiate between toll and non-toll motorways and between real services and holes-in-the-ground.

Any ideas how much roughly it'd cost in tolls to travel the entire length of France in a van?
http://about-france.com/driving.htm#tolls
About €100 each way from Calais to Nice in a small van, more in a camper or suchlike over 2m high
There is a route finder which also calculates your tolls at http://www.autoroutes.fr/en/routes.htm
is that an insurmountable drop?
