Perhaps it should be suggested on this thread http://www.lfgss.com/thread4213.html to take photos of any damage.
I did not do this when I got hit last year, instead I got two quotes to replace damaged items and submitted them. The driver's insurance are now asking for photos that I can't produce and the bike parts were all binned/replaced as I needed to get it back up and running asap.
