Sure, but Steve didn't give Guinness a load of money to ratify the record, nor did he tell them in advance that he was going to do it with a specified start and end date, nor did Steve submit all of the required evidence to Guinness (but he would have been collecting it along the way as e has to do similar for the UMCA).
