First session at LVV done..
Albeit not on the Zeus due to having mtb pedals but heres a photo of the closest it got to the track. Cant wait to do the second one but tempted to buy some look pedals, will they look horrible on this build?
Either modern look pedals or keep it old school and buy these to use with clips and straps. I quite like them as the colours look good -

Didn't realise mtb pedals are non regulation. Makes perfect sense though. I would say go for Look pedals for track use, given that you can use your cages and straps on street. Never know when you might wanna ride road pedals in other situations...

I did my first session in clips and straps. Though it was on one of their bikes...
Zues looks lush.

Yeah :-( I was more worried about bb height an other things, an overlooked that point. Thinking it getting those sidis and maybe look cleats in the future once I source some pedals

How was your session and what stage you on? Some real sketchy riding by a few people towards the end when doing half lap changes. I passed to stage 2 though so I'm happy 😊

Mine was good, fucking scary though. Definitely will take a while to get used to.
Ive only passed stage one, though I did it before October so I think its reset.I think everyone was fine, only thing was at one point I didn't realise we were going back down and continued (started) to overtake people until told by someone who didn't seem best pleased.
Were a few funny parts though, someone set off from the side wall, not pushing off hard enough, and just toppled in front of me.
A guys clip attachment just flew off, and the friend who I was there with, who is mad, reached the top of the banking to overtake and forgot to pedal on the way down, roadie. Saddly I missed that. -

Brought out the Lava on this icey day with surprisingly no wind. Riduculous but so much fun to ride!

Thank you :-) I wish you the best of luck. I have never seen another directly for sale. Only other example I have seen is a few Zeus branded lopro in rouleur magazine which I prob posted a few pages back. But who knows where that is in the world right now..

Hi all, Hi @BigH
.. selling these zeus parts reminded me of my Zeus project.
so i searched for the box and mounted the parts quickly, to see how it works out so far.
in order to see what decals i should use i printed out some decals on paper and attached them with tape.
i also thought about repainting the frame but this would require quite some hard decisions regarding color, type of paint and budget..
i have some some questions, maybe you can help me..- i still don't know out if the blue paint is the orginal paint. based on the pics what would you say?
- what decals would fit era-wise?
- which color would you choose if you had to?
Thx and reagrds from Berlin ;)
Peter

I dont know if its original but if you do repaint it. Paint it whatever colour you want. They had a small paint range but again this was more than likely able to change on a customers request. The main Zeus track frames I have seen all have this blue metallic colour an same decals -
I prefer whatever the original colour is but in this case I dont know. Just built it up and ride it for abit, also try get a 2001 headset to match the seatpost :-) Good collection of parts so far!

i have on but i dont know if it is a 2001 ..
the seatpost could also be 2000 as seen on this catalog page..

Out of interest, what spoke length did you use when you built your Zeus/Akront wheels?
I'm finally getting around to lacing a pair of 36h old logo Zeus track hubs to matching Akront tubular rims. For a 3cross pattern, I'm calculating ~296mm for the front spokes and ~295mm for the rear spokes. Any thoughts..?
Cheers!

Yesss!
Small update. Currently using the Lava lo-pro as my general use ride as uni is done and no need to carry around a rucksack etc. Filled the panto on the 95mm Zeus stem I got a while back too. The 5mm extra reach feels good
Also just received a set of 3ttt competizione pista bars for the pista. Just need to order some bar tape as I have ran out of the usual silva stuff I use. Cant seem to find anything else that would work other than the forello or morbidone tape that silva make.
