Leave the paint! The orange is nice, but the original is better.

Potentially -1 for removing paint
-

I also really like the original paint but its just a complete mess :( it's getting loose in the corners and i'm not sure how to keep the frame in good condition with this paint. Maybe meet in the middle, repaint in colors? Don't go hating on me just yet, open for suggestions!

Leave the paint and slave it!
-
• #9
+1 for leaving the paint as is!

get nail polish for the closest colors and refill the gaps with your finger. it works.
-
• #11
+1 for original paint. take loose chips away and laquer over to preserve what's left.
wouldn't changing the fork modify the geometry for the worse?
-

Just wanted to letyou know that I don't care wheter you repaint, restore or leave as is.
Good luck either way. -

From what i've read, old TT frames could handle both. It was up to the cyclist himself what he prefered. I might be wrong though.
I would like to try both and see what I like most the most. 26inch gives me also a wider range on wheels.

Where did you source most of your parts from mate??
-
• #15
Crankset + pedals from a French seller
Mavic bars and fork bought via seller in my own country (NL)
And BB was included when I bought the frame.
Hope this answers your question. If you are looking for something specific send me a pm! -

As regards to bb axle you need the rarer than rarest hens teeth 111.5mm ta axle. Assuming you have a 42mm chainline that is.
Funnily enough I have 2. Prepare to empty your wallet if you want one. Also, save the paint, only a buffoon would strip it.

The person I bought the crankset & pedals from also had a NOS TA 314 in stock. Someone else mentioned I could also just shorten the 118 axle to it's right size.. I don't think that's a good idea.

You're sure you don't want any foot retention and/or a brake?
-
• #20
Yes of course, im either getting clips or find suitable straps for it. http://www.aurora-collective.com/shop/velcro-straps-black/

Not bad. Fixing saddle and bars angle will help
-

Give the man (?) a break, it's ticking lots of hhsb boxes! Good job so far.
But yeah, saddle and bar angle.

Looks rad

was there something wrong with original fork?
EDIT: just read 24 for 26 inch, ok ok ok :) -
• #25
Yea I really wanted to ride this bike with the Corima wheel, though I like to get in the near future a real track fork and not a road version, needs tighter clearance. Its my first time I drove with bullhorns, I assume the angle should be more upwards?
Hi all,
I'm the new owner of this pursuit bike.
Bought it here on lfgss, and it had previous owners from the forum. I almost collected all the parts I need for this project.
Mavic bullhorns
Mavic stem (coming this week)
Mavic headset
Stronglight BB 118mm (came with the frame)
Stronglight crankset
Ta 52T chainring
Zeus pedals
Stronglight Aero seatpost (still need to buy it)
Concor Supercorsa saddle (still need to buy it)
I'm not sure if my axle length (118mm) is to long for the crankset? I don't have the proper tools yet to install the parts. In a old thread I read that someone used a 115mm TA axle. I also might want to swap the 24inch for a 26inch Columbus fork.
I'm might want to remove the paint, because it's damaged a lot. I really like this orange color

As for the wheels i'm not quite sure what to choose. Really like the Zipp 400/404 and Old French Roval wheelset
