In that case, by definition, the Arsenal offside trap should've generated more goals for opposing teams.

More importantly this is distracting from the cross baines put in that terry put in. And Lee cattermole fucking up on the line.

I did wonder why Joe's posts had disappreared.Thought it was based on him leaving the country.

And John Terry's spectacular attempt at clearing that cross!

I really liked Wijnaldum's goal for Newcastle as well. Great ball from Shelvey, beautiful first touch and cross from Janmaat, easy tap-in.

Exactly.
Did you see cattermole fail to kick the ball to somewhere safe?
Eriksen had 2 lucky strikes....

When Newcastle were on, I turned off and went to bed. I'd had enough of shouty commentary.

So it's the biggest game in British (if not World) football, 6th v 10th and an automatic Europa League place available.
I'm giddy with hype.
Oh and Pisti, shut up fucking moaning about refs after the penalty not given against City the other night. That whining bitch Martinez was alright with that IIRC.

Peno's are generally interpretation, either given or not.
A player 2 yards offside is ALWAYS 2 yards offside and should be given accordinglySo fuck off yourself

Refereeing errors balance themselves out by the end of the season. No biggie. We've been on the wrong end of refereeing decisions for a good 15 years.

Clapton FC were yesterday as well, a few very dodgy decisions.
Luckily they scored 2 goals and stopped their opponents scoring any so that's not what everyone was talking about afterwards.
Anyway, I'm going for:
Liverpool 0 - 0 United (2 teams with no out and out strikers, neither seem to want to score that much)
Stoke 2 - 0 Arsenal (don't like it up 'em, Stoke like big games, Arsenal have unparalleled ability to waste good opportunities)Any advances?

I would also like to bet that Gary Neville is not in his job past March.
Valencia still haven't won a league game since he took over, and they drew 2-2 at home to the bottom team.
If I'm wrong I'll wear an Ipswich shirt.

Think we'll go down 2-1 today. A dodgy dive and penalty will secure it for the scum

When did United fans start singing that 'la la la la, la la la la, hey-ey-ey, Man United' song?
Are they trying to start a Prawn Sandwich Brigada?

Klopp had done something amazing at Liverpool.
He's made people think 'actually, Rodgers wasn't too bad was he?'

Sorry Pisti, but poor decisions are part of the game. You have to be able to win despite them. Of course it's easy to blame that, but in the end, if you'd have scored more goals, or defended better, it wouldn't matter what the ref did.
In other news, this game is so frustrating. Roll on next year (yes, I said it).
If Martinez focussed on defending , you say he doesn't, the ball would be cleared by Barca's new centre back John Stone. Terry was offside. The ref and lino should have spotted it.
There wouldn't have been so much extra time, which is how you've been done before this season if, you weren't celebrating like you had won the big cup.
Did you see how Costa grabbed the ball after his goal?
