  • Finally finishing off my Rychtarski.

    It seems the fork crown needs to be faced to allow the caliper brake to sit flush, and the hole at the back of the crown for the recessed allen nut needs to be reamed. I'm assuming this is all possible, but would appreciate someone telling me what the tool is called so I can have an informed chat with a shop or framebuilder.

    @spotter didn't you have something similar with a fork that you had built for your big swede fixed?

    If you're talking to a framebuilder, they will know which tool they use for spotfacing, probably just an appropriately sized end mill, and the same (but smaller, obviously) for the counterbore which takes the tube nut.
