I've used UPS a couple of times for frames and complete groups and Parcel Force for cheaper, individual components.
Neither have let me down, but the reassurance of the man in brown is welcome when larger sums of money are at stake.
I wouldn't recommend the use of a broker (Parcel Monkey etc). I found the extra link in the chain complicated matters considerably when things went awry domestically.

I have contrary advice then scilly.
I use parcel2go. cheap, reliable, not a prob.
somewhere back in 2011 (?) one courier managed to bend the track ends of a frame. looked fubard. got all the money back, got to keep the frame, which turned out repairable in the end so free frame.
so only good stories. even with parcelfarce.
Is there a thread for recommended international couriers for bikes? If there is not, has anyone got any recommendations?
