I've never been interested in music festivals in the UK, but my youngest daughter was at Reading (cost me 300sheets/weekend) and Vans Warp Tour in Salt Lake City, Utah (cost me $80 for both girls) last summer. I think the idea of being in a crowd away from parents was the main motivation generally.
WarpTour had a daddy day lounge, I choose to see Salt Lake's fine architecture instead.
In reality, Reading was totally mad time with her girlfriends and WarpTour was very loud with sunburn with sister. Not sure she grow out of them.
