Indeed and thats what they did with the next 2 models, its deffo designed that way-picture of it in koga catalogue as mentioned before. Its the fattest downtube ive ever seen..its almost as wide as it is deep and not a teardrop shape! Maybe they just came across some alloy shaped that way and thought lets use this? or its to provide strength given that the seat tube is very small in cross section in the cutout for the rear wheel. Crazy Dutchies.
