  • New year, new project.

This Anchor comes from Encino, USA and was used by an ex keirin champ - Henry Shibata. Maziora is the name of the type of paint which changes colour depending on the angle from which it is viewed or from where the light highlights it. Its hard to find any good builds online so gonna play is safe in terms of parts and try not go too hhsb. Got a carbon flite seatpost which is currently at max insertion but might be too short. Have a matching flite saddle but its on Umezawa atm. Cranks will be the Shimano olympics I got a while back but they are 172.5mm so hoping that will clear the equipment inspection at LVV. Also looking to invest in some more zen chainrings too in the near future for extra slave points. Heres some close ups for now -

Currently looking for a Dura Ace 7710 track bottom bracket and a Dura Ace Easton seat post in 27.2mm very good condition please :-)

Its hard to find any good builds online

    Ahem

Don't want to put undue pressure on you but this is the kind of standard I'm hoping for.

  • By the beard of Merlin...

    This'll be good.

  • Lovely.

(No doubt you are aware that Ultegra BB 6500 OR Shimano 105 BB 5500 should be ok for alternatives to Dura Ace)

  • Haha. That thing is so 2012/pengy etc.

  • Thanks for all the previous comments :-) The paint today in the sun was crazy. Literally so excited to start gathering some of the important stuff for this. Really need to get a bottom bracket asap @c4shr but my ocd tells me I need matchy matchy for the cranks

  • big man tings!

  • What is the exact difference between the Shimano 7710 and 7700. From what I have read both can be NJS stamped. The 7700 is supposedly lighter due using needle bearings which needs more maintenance if used regularly. The 7710 is all sealed cartridge and is better for "riding in the rain" keirin races apparently. Anyone have any opinions? Im thinking to just get the one that comes along for sale first

  • Headsets?

Needle bearings are sub-optimal for the loads experienced: ball bearings FTW.

  • Bottom bracket. Looks like I should be getting a 7700 NJ$ stamped one in the near future hopefully

  • From experience of both, I would definitely go for the sealed cartridge 7710.

  • i concur. fit and forget

  • Oh wow.

    Subscribed.

  • Holy shit

  • Awesome! Subscribed.
