Disappointing.

Just seen some pictures of the final round of the Yorkshire league in a couple of weeks (we have disappointingly few events) and the course is looking very interesting. It's on MOD land with a mixture of hard track, scrub heath, sand and some very steep gradients that they use for training tank drivers.
Should be a lot of fun. I've been running up some steep banks for fell running training and reckon I'll be needing that practice.

I a little confused about where round 14 of the London league is gonna be. BC site says Bethlem and the London league site says Redbridge. Which one is it?

Redbridge (Hog Hill).
The hospital were not game this year.

Helen Wyman giving an excellent demonstration of where the National Champion shouldn't be with a quarter lap to go.
-
• #4535
It depends entirely on how much of a gap there is. :)
-
• #4536
There was entirely no gap whatsoever
Having capitalised on Nikki Harris losing her chain, Helen Wyman stuffed the banking and landed in the hedge. Harris came past as she extracted herself and took the win.
-
• #4537
All reports I've seen say Wyman had a mechanical that caused her crash.
-
• #4538
Some eye witness reports are suggesting otherwise but having not been there myself I can't verify these. However, with a clean section of tarmac between the pits and the banking, and having watched top riders struggle with it the day before, I know what I consider the most likely cause.

Nice little film from this weekends Danish championships:

You can even catch a glimpse of @Rasmussloth strolling through the pit! -

There's a series of photos on Facebook which suggest it was rider error not mechanical error. Can't link to them on my phone though.

asking again - Does anyone have a pair of carbon cross forks, canti mounts, fairly long straight 1 1/8 steerer they have for sale? Something like EC90x or Ritchey would be ideal but I'd consider others too.
Thanks

I have a pair of enve forks I would consider selling that meet all the criteria. In excellent condition (bought them last year and used for 5 races). Would want £200 for them.
-
• #4544
I had forgotten about those. Nnnnggh.
-
• #4545
Who's good at assessing the damage to carbon forks?
Mine look alright, there's a bit of a scratch, if I could use them I'd be able to pair v brakes up front with one disc brake at the back until I can stump up for a fork and brake cccccombo up front. -
• #4546
What brake you lookin for, eventually? I have a little used trp spyre 160mm.
