never understand this snobbish attitude of berghain , I've been in there and wondered what all the fuss was about . i know djs who played there that were turned away . my mate was resident in the old club ostgut / panorama bar now that was something :) mind you i was younger too !
as for tresor , its dark its intense , i could well see pickpockets enjoying easy pickings, very sad that it happens and i guess your racial profiling points to immigration issues though of course germany has had turkish immigrants for 50 years or so

Solid shouts here. Just a cautionary note, was in Berlin last Feb, dropped into Tresor (turned away from Berghain dont'cha know) and two of my mates were pickpocketed, one lad of his wallet, the other of his phone. We managed to cop the lad stroking the phone and get that back at least. Turkish immigrant if I was pushed to make a ham handed judgement call. Beautiful techno to be had all night and morning just watch out for the pickpockets.
