If I raise the stop tailpiece on my Les Paul will the string tension ease a bit or is that scientifically unpossible?
Pretty sure I tried the same trick on my old Les Paul and it failed but that was bloody yonks ago... What say you, nerds?
unpossible I believe. you'd still need the same string tension to tune to the same notes. Think about a guitar without a tailpiece....
Yeah, I figured as much but thought I'd ask here before I got the screwdriver out...
