2 x Mavic MA 40 clincher rims 32 hole or similar...

after something from late 80s or early 90s. Last piece in the puzzle for my new build and have had no luck finding anything I want on the bay...

I will be dismantling these wheels after the week end .

There are 32 hole MA2 rims and 36 hole MA40 rims all on Campagnolo Large Flange track hubs .

If they are of interest to you PM me before I dispose of the rims.

Hi Allister - what condition are the 32 hole rims in? I'm looking for something with lots of life which sounds unlikely if you were planning to dispose of them!

the 32 hole MA@ silver rims have been only ever used as track wheels and not used at all for the last 5 years or so and have been in our bike store. Obviously there is no brake wear as they have never been used with a brake and there is as usual some superficial discoloration around the rim eyelets as they are steel . They have "lots of life left in them " the reason for the disposal is that the record large flange track hubs are where the value is and they are going to be built up in to new carbon tubular rims .

I will be at the bike store over the week end and can take some more detailed pictures for you .

based in Edinburgh , at Glasgow a lot but expert at putting things in well packed cardboard boxes ! References available from the forum ....

I will see what they are like when they have had a gentle clean, at the moment the nipples are soaking up some Shock & Unlock Spray as some of them were seized, front wheel worse than the back surprisingly when I went to unscrew them this evening.

just dismantled these wheels really carefully, and having done so it seems that the front wheel has 32 spokes and the rear has 36 !

This means that I don't have a pair of MA2 32 hole rims :-(
