I've always liked your bike. Most bikes nowadays (including mine) play it too safe with just silver or black parts (which is understandable because it most often looks good).
I can see why people wouldn't like the gold but personally I think your frame can take it.
As for your fork question, that's a tough one. Chrome would look the best I think but is pricey. Black is probably safest. Or go full out and anodize it gold to match the finishing kit haha.
Massive repost, but we need more like this:

would agree with @Tijs

if the frame had other colours on it then you could use them but if its plain you don't have as many options IMO. I seem to remember there being some look-a-like chrome spray paints that could work rather than actually getting it chromed (which would be, as mentioned, very expensive).
I'm a yank but this is by far one of my favorite bike threads on the internet. Swear I've read through 1000+ pages so far. Over here everyone is so jaded about anything different or possibly "that's so 2007!!!" when you post a pic of a bike with risers and a composite 3/4/5 spoke wheel.
Everyone should own one ridiculous bike that defies logic but makes you smile.
Quick question for you. I have an older Pista I converted to threaded and the company that sent me the new fork gave me the wrong dimensions...even with 28mm tires, I have a huge gap. Example...

I'm picking up a used inexpensive track fork that's going to be proper slammed (about 3-5mm clearance with 23mm....25mm tires will a very tight fit if at all).
The new fork is a dull matte grey.
My bike is chrome/black/gold (yeah, screams anti).

What color should I paint this new fork? I was considering black or even bright red....or just shaving it down to bare metal/clearcoating.
Any suggestions besides throwing my Benetton mess-of-colors bike in the trash bin?
