Am looking for a do most stuff frame with not short head tube, comfortable-ish but fast enough for chain ganging. Not fussed about mudguard eyelets. Looking to spend £200-£400 and could be second hand. Is the Cinelli Experience a bad idea, I've read it can take 28 tyres, which surely will sort out the comfort side of things. However, I hated the Kinesis Racelight I had, too uncomfortable. Any ideas?

Bah. Had 25s on it, running at 90psi.

Try wide rims, 28mm tyres and 60psi.

4 real? Thought that was approved standard.
Anyway the Kinesis is sold, 28s didn't fit either.
Hence I'm looking for a replacement. -

All joking aside I can't imagine there are many 2016 road frames out there that won't take 28mm tyres (if any in your budget).
Genuinely if you want more comfort, build a set of 23mm wide rims with some high quality 28mm tyres at a sensible psi.
Genesis have a lot of nice looking options at the moment, like this ... but I'd say go for something that fits, in a colour you like that puts a smile on your face.

Cheers, that is pretty close and hadn't considered, Campag too - unfortunately geometry is pretty aggressive, top tube a shade too long on the remaining size L, otherwise would have gone for it! Very good buy for someone.

Look awesome with no cable guide;
Until I realised they simply photoshopped it off;

I'm about to replace an Experience, and whilst an excellent bike it's just too aggressive for my needs. Replacing with something more relaxed and steel.

Which brings me on to: always lusted after a Condor, and in light of my wanting something more relaxed and comfortable I'm now thinking Fratello disc on 28s. I know everyone says this but I can genuinely see that as being it for a while on the bike front.

Hahaha.
There is always another bike you'll want. Always.

Condor's geometry = LOL
Fratello disc is overpriced IMO.
Look at Bowman, Mason, Genesis etc. -

Obviously for 'the foreseeable future' read 'about 5 years'

Expand on this, I'm still open minded about what to go for

Inconsistent (non-progressive) stack and reach. Its all over the place!
Not as on point as the rest. Flat mount, thru axle etc.
One of the 'put disc brakes on road bike' vs a disc brake road bike.Stuck record but Genesis Datum.

Beyond my budget, not steel, NEXT!

I can do a Fratello build for 1400 FYI

You can do Datum in that budget too. 105 5800, spyres, aksium disc/OTP disc etc.

I thought about the disc fratello too but it is way overpriced when you start looking around at equivalents and I would personally like more tyre clearance. Shame cos I love condor's.
