nice one mate, what I mean by chrome issue is , like eg a 90's Master, paint was applied on top of chrome, the paint can flake away from the frame in these areas, the paint is , again like a master, like a shell

That way. I have this problem indeed on a 1998 Master Extra Light but also on my Gios Compact Evolution.

must have been a change in process, 80's and some early 90's are fine

And a second one I kinda finished today. I added some more Dura Ace 7400 parts: seatpost, front derailleur, headset and wheelset. Now only missing brake levers.
Hope it's not a dog again. ;-)

It's a nag, which is probably even worse.

How much of a bargain?

Good price, cheap enough to fuck it up without much concern.
If you like it, future upgrade is just some cheap Shimano hydraulic disc brakeset.

Can't fault it really, barely need to change anything on it, 650b feels very right
-
• #105846
Yeah also i probably won't get to use it that often, so i didn't want to spend loads.
It comes with Hayes hydraulic disc, feel pretty good to me
-
• #105847
Oh it come with hydraulic already? even better!
That's the thing about MTB, it's not as straightforward to take it out as you would a road bicycle on a road.

They came already set up to.
it takes me about 2 hours to get anywhere thats actually made for a mtb, but i got the canal and some dog walker type places out side of town i can use it on.

Can anyone recommend a good, inexpensive 144 bcd chainring in 3/32 for single speed use? Looking for a 44-46 tooth, preferably silver.
