Lovely commute. Nice nip in the air, enough for knee warmers and thin long finger gloves.
It has thinned out the resolutionists a bit.

Only the second time I've worn full length tights and a baselayer this winter and was a weird mixture of cold and sweaty. Nice ride though, watched a chopper with a squeaky chain half run a red then notice a police car, leap off his bike and walk it on the pavement as if he meant to do that all along. Anyway, I'm looking forward to even colder weather.

Told myself I wasn't going to use my new road bike for commuting - I've got my fixed gear for that.
Just blasted in on my road bike. Oh well.

Got taken out by someone jumping the red light at Norwood Rd as I joined from Croxted on a green light, no damage to me or the bike. The women wasn't even apologetic just said didn't see you. To be honest not sure she even knew she had gone through the lights.
Having been leaving at about 7 so far this week, what a difference it makes leaving 30 minutes later so many more cyclist and so much more sheeping going on. Sat waiting for the lights to change with 5 other cyclist, another goes straight through the red queue the other 5 then all go through. Quiet amusing

Was following a cyclist in and thought there was something odd about him ,, couldn't quite put my finger n it. He was wearing a lot of hi viz but just presumed a nodder
Then it clicked, he had clingfilmed his helmet. I guess those vents are over rated and much better to be dry. And sweaty.

Went home at midday to guide my gf on her first cycle commute to her new work! All went swimmingly apart from my being a bit ambitious with the pace. Now stuck in uni until 9 when I'll go back to her work to do the ride home!

Worked from home today but cycled to the pub to meet a mate after hours. The journey home saw some cunt sit right up my arse from Denmark Hill to the top of Anerley. It may have been the beer but I was fucked if I was going to slow to let him pass when his bike had about 30 years and at least 20 gears on mine and he was at least 3 stone lighter. As a result, I got 21 achievements out of 30 segments on Strava. The key to training is obviously to get an annoying twat to follow you around.

This. All of my "records" for my commute in Bucks were from one ride where some knobber on a flash bianchi sat on my wheel for the entire ride.

Coooold fingers. Cue Bond theme
Not the day for fingerless gloves really.

I went in jeans instead of shorts and pretty sure it was colder.

I had a shorts day - which was commented on by a colleague as I entered the garage at work.
"Bit cold for bare legs, isn't it?"

Toastie warm apart from my right finger tips, too many drivers not indicating until the very last minute this morning causing much irritation to both cyclist and motorbikes.

Turns out I commuted to the wrong location today.
Arrived at work (Brixton) nice and early, fired up my computer and proceeded to do the usual: piss about. 09.20 rolls around. Calendar pops up, informing me I'm attending a meeting with a client at 09.30 in Pimlico.
My heartfelt thanks to all the green lights encountered between 09.25 and 09.40, when I managed to show up.

Somebody being on your rear wheel leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to beating personal bests/strava ;)

4 buying/selling meet-ups today and all went without a hitch! Nice to meet you all, chaps.
Also, Storey's Gate without cobbles! That was nice.

Cycle to work to start at 9 like I did yesterday to arrive and remember it's 9:30 start today, damn.
Fucking freezing.
