I suspect Matt may try to talk me into something fancier, but Kinesis have a carbon disc fork that's mudguard compatible + has a hole on the crown where I can mount a light.
I know rear dynamo lights are a bit unnecessary, but I've got a Supernova front and rear light setup already which I might as well re-use.
Since I got my original Talbot frame, I've increasingly found myself drawn to the world of SPD sandals and sleep deprivation. While Talbot 1 got me through a SR series last year, I'd really like clearance for proper mudguards, disc brakes, bigger tyres, etc, while also accommodating my extremely T-rex proportions in the way a custom frame can.
On top of this I'd like something suited to winter club runs and occasional bits of on-trend mixed terrain.
Originally I was going to go for a quick, functional TIG-welded frame with a bit more clearance, but it turns out Matt's got something more interesting in mind...
This is all at the very early stages, it may end up looking nothing like this. Paint is still undecided. Much as I like Sram, the ugliness of the the hydro levers means I'll almost certainly be going for Ultegra (but probably with a different chainset). For wheels tubeless seems to make sense and we're going to look at some sort of interesting dynamo light routing.
