Gonna look again at that graphics card you mentioned. Sounds like everything I've posted is fine apart from the Graphics card. Will look into the reviews/specs for the MSI R9 370.
If it's worth it, see if I can find the extra mullah for it.
Thanks again

When servicing your computer involves draining it and replacing the coolant, you're winning the PC Tech Thread and losing at life.

Check this build out, it's ~550 quid including R9 380 (even better gfx)

I decided to change the GTX 960 to the R9 380, thanks to amazon, difference was only £26. That link you sent me I is very similar to what I ordered.
Also discovered that Steam are having a winter sale at the moment. Fuck me, didn't know games go for that cheap nowadays. Wallet took a hammering today

You'll be fine with the R9 380 :)
Now, re: Steam. That's half the bit. I might have dropped easily 1500 usd on my PC, however, I rarely spend more than $25 on a game. Console games cost me $60, so I only buy exclusives for the PS4 (or Assassins Creed as it's always borked on PC).

can't be bothered with the usual non incriminating vague post...
Anyone know how to get a key for w10?
You know, for a pal or whatever...
(steam Machine is go! and awesome).
Also, decent wireless Keyboard and mice? Smaller and prettier the better.... -

I use this keyboard for my media centre

You're probably better looking at Win 7 for an OS of dubious provenance.
If you're just using it to control the PC but not really typing/playing games then this is what I use http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00T2SJUWA Very small and works fine from across the room. No chance of playing games on it though.

I dont really need the touchpad... but thanks.
Quite like the look of this one but no idea what the 2.4ghz thing is all about?

Cheers.
Sorry, should of said. Plan on gaming with it.
I have w10 working perfectly but need to activate it to get rid of the awful bg img. -

I guess that is the band it uses (same as wi-fi).
If you're intending to play games, be aware that some of the cheaper keyboards are a bit shit with noticeable lag.

• #2163
Ok thanks, might just stick with Apple Keyboards then...
-
• #2164
Apple keyboards on Windows machines? Doable?
-
• #2165
I guess so? Run them on my Bootcamped Macs... oh... just remembered the Bootcamp drivers, maybe they make a difference. Damn it.
-
• #2166
Yup; works absolutely fine. Auto substitutes the windows key in for the cmd key.
You'll need to remember that @ and £ will be in different places to the actual keyboard symbols.
-
• #2167
More expensive ones like Logitech are fine I've found. Just the crappy generic brand ones.
-
• #2168
Right, Logitech it is then. Cheers.

Surely there's an appropriate keyboard layout you can choose in Windows?

@chrisbmx116 you could try https://www.reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap/ but it ain't gonna be free. Or find someone with an MSDN account willing to give you a volume key.
-

Interesting thing about MSDN, they don't seem to revoke keys. I had MSDN a few years ago. Got Windows 7 from it. Key is still valid, upgraded to Win 10 no problem. I can even view my keys still on MSDN site even though sub expired two years ago!

I've been chatting regarding this on the digital photography thread but thought I would ask here too.
Looking for a 15 or 17" laptop that will get Adobe Lightroom flying. Any recommendations?

haha, I've had that a few times but always been a PC user thus far and scared of change.
I shopped about a bit and ended up with an i3 4330 and GTX 950, SSD and a little change from £350. CPU was second hand though.
