Why do you want to get out of the habit of wearing trainers?

is a compression adjuster the same thing as a deda bung expander or a brand x headset compression device or a PX fork bung - and why do they all have to have different names!?!

I think so. Mumtaz I've seen in Leeds, and possibly Bradford/Manc as well? Akbars (I guess that's what you meant) might also be Leeds/Bradford only.
Fond memories.

Trying to dress better. I wear out trainers crazy quick, but I have cobbler friends so I can get real soles and heels done very cheap to a high standard

To confuse the hell out of people.
Turns out CRC has a 1" one (brand-x) but trying to find it was fun :)

Dear forum, any suggestions for a nice slim & pretty ahead stem in:
black
26.0 clamp
1"ITM eclypse yes - But barely comes up in black & usually a mile long
Thomson x4 - not 1" and 31.8
Alter is very chunky though a cheap one in 10 cm black or yellow is worth a try, they're never cheap though
3T mutant doesn't look nice on frame too swoopyEbay searches are a pain as most people don't specify lengths or stem clamp...

@fizzy.bleach yeah that's what I said... (;
Seems like Akbar is taking over the world.
It is more upmarket though rather than your local friendly curry house, don't think there is a gap in the market that could be exploited, as mentioned it's saturated as it is.

Yep that may work, tx :)
I can probably get those labels off with nailpolish remover cos it's not one of those planet x frames with a military paint job...or a tank :)

I have a UNO stem that is a 1"x26.0 ...they're a pretty uncommon size, most now go 1 1/8 x 26.0 with a shim.
Mind you my uno stem looks pretty damn phallic. It's not a conventional stem.

Bird spikes...the plastic ones at the hardware shop. Or for more "invisible"ones, diy some out of stiff wire and stick them on.

Move to the north..?
We get them all the time on our window feeder and they are noisy fuckers. I did try something with a smaller entry hole but they managed to hang on the side and get the food - now I just put more food out. I still get lots of tits, finches and robins - they seem to have a rota worked out between themselves.
I suppose something that tilts or moves with weight might work but I've never seen one for sale (not that I spent much time looking). So my suggestion is get used to it unfortunately - at least they aren't squirrels.

The baffle has solved the squirrel problem and they are welcome to the thousands of sweet chestnuts and acorns on the ground. These bloody parakeets are thugs as are the wood pigeons and magpies that hoover up what the parakeets drop. All the "decent " birds don't get a look in.

Im moving back to clipless pedals. I looked at Time Atacs but they seem either very out of stock or very expensive. Was it like this 5 years ago?
What is the clipless pedal / cleat of choice on the forum these days?
I have new Time Atac cleats, but no pedals. Do I fork out for them? Are all Time pedals interchangeable? XC? XS?
-
• #73398
Shimano, I have a spare pair if you want. You need to get cleats ..
-
• #73399
Dude, just get the cheapest Shimano and save your money.
It's cheaper than a cleat even.

Sounds like Akbar has quite an Empire.
Miche Pistard, Navigator Pista, Planet-X alloy tubs, or something else for a similar price?
