Normal club ride yesterday around the Kent hills, was there a sportive or Audux going on haven't seen that many cyclists in and around Kent for sometime, also most people were kitted out in black castelli kit.

I did my normal Layhams/Beddlestead /Approach Rd loop and noticed this too. Many many people dressed in Brixton /De Ver kit.

Brixton seem to go out mob handed on Sunday mornings, pretty much the whole of Layhams was strung out and occupied whilst I was on my way back into town a couple of months ago. Many happy motorists!

The first 100km ride of this year yesterday, just a perfect day. Bloody windy though and lots of sand/mud on the roads in rural Brabant...

As pretty as it is flat!
Had a bit of time off the bike after doing the festive 500 but went out yesterday due to a Strava related desire to do something each calendar week. So much fitness seems to have been lost - couldn't maintain 30km around Regents Park. Bloody skiing. -

yep, flat as a pancake. only the N2 & O2 molecules to battle ;-)
props on doing the festive thing, I think of it every year but never enter. Strava badges can >>>>>>> afaic anyway

Windy and cold Saturday. 170km and 3.500m of climb.

I wish that 100 miles Swindon-London on thursday last week gave views as pretty as the rest of you had. The A4 isn't exactly a scenic route.

Took the 29er over Hope Cross yesterday. Got there a bit late in the day so it was quiet and very peaceful.
The wind turned on me and ended up riding into the wind with fine snow stinging my eyeballs but worth it.

Utterly beautiful yesterday with the snow on the trees and ground of Epping forest.

Were you at Ide Hill community shop? Do you have pro bar stem combo?
-
• #9270
Yep! Was there with Joeboat on here

Ah yes we (Me sparky and 2 others) were there too .. mine was the yellow bike. Very balmy overall.
-
• #9272
Ah ha, think I semi-spotted you then! It was really nice out, warm enough to enjoy the mist and fog and not really care how muddy everything was
-
• #9273
I was in Kent too. What the fuck is going on with the beddlested / westerham microclimate? Massive wet fog cloud. Grim

It was a bit 'Belgian classics' up round there, haha

Tough bit of reccying for the Peak 200 today. Climbing on road sections of 24% had me standing on the lowest gear on my MTB to get up. Evil soft clay descent down Bradwell Edge way beyond my abilities and ended up having to walk/slide down a lot of it. Need some work there. Fortunately nice and warm so a good ride despite the occasional sense of humour fail. Last off road bit was the easy drop off Hollin Cross. Nicely pushing my technical abilities without getting far beyond them.
The next bit is the fabled The Beast of Hope Cross. I've been up it carrying a cross bike. Not sure how going down is going to go.
Where is this? Lovely pics!
