Lol. The Flyer is finally the bike it always should have been. Those dropouts make much more sense with mudguards.

Exactly, the only other is the Condor whose frameset cost as much as the Flyer.
Come with wide rims, decent gearing, lower BB (for a fixed wheelers), carbon fork and a compact geometry.
The only problem is simply the lack of fixed cog.

42x17 is a pretty low GI, it might get a bit annoying after a while.
Great looking bike though, and I can see the sense in the dropouts even if it does bring to mind a Peugeot Carbolite conversion.

Pretty perfect gearing with large tyres.

As paul cycles has Caad10 frame sets for 399.99 Im going to order one end of the month...
My issue is size. TT on the 56 (56.5)is perfect with a 100mm stem and 15mm lay back but the stack is real low and would mean I would need a fair few spacers to make it okay.
Or the 58 that has a 57.5TT just means I have to use an inline post with 100mm.
What y'all think?
btw in 6'1"

Get the 56, put spacers on it. If you hate spacers get a synapse.

synapse = ugly.
I need to see if evans have any c10 or super sixes to sit on.

It's 66", the tooling-about gear of champions

Or get the 58 and a choad stem :-)

My project comutenger.
42x18 in use, may become 42x16 by next weekend.Due to the wet weather and some routes being blocked by supermarket trolleys. (a couple in the river and some blocking my exit if i tried to ride through the water)
Now sporting an SKS commuter mudguard set, the bars have been tilted and the seat post raised a bit, and the saddle is more forward....... my work boots didn't fit the toeclips so they are off, but the alu flat pedals are too slippery without clips so some more downhill race friendly xpedo mag flats are in place now.
Quick shakedown ride and some tweeks to guards and pedal swap and ready for commuter action in the morning.

So I've got this Rauler-built Asmussen in fully chromed Max with a nice pearlescent paintjob and I can't figure what to dress it up in. I've narrowed it down to two options:
1) A very good looking Dura Ace 7700 groupset incl. marching headset and 6500 hubs. A NOS silver Eclypse stem and then I just need to find a fitting seatpost and some handlebars.2) A black Sram Rival groupset with black Apex shifters with white paddles. I've got a random black headset kicking around somewhere, a black Eclypse and assorted black seatposts.
I'm leaning towards Sram and then use the 7700 group on my Faggin with pantographed 1" carbon ahead fork. I've yet to choose the colour for that one, as I'd wait 'til I had decided which groupset goes where...
Any input?

Awesome frame!
I think option 1 (Dura Ace 7700 etc) would look better (SRAM group would possibly function better?) for the reason you may also think: just think a silver groupset and finishing kit would look better on a frame with such a light coloured paintjob (and the chrome bits of the frame of course). I also think the SRAM groupset might be a little too modern (looking).
Both are good choices probably, but you asked us so I thought I'd give my two cents!

Would you need spacers for the 58 to?

I am currently building up the Gazelle CX frameset below, but before I can finish it I need to figure out how to fix the broken cable guide for the rear brake. I was thinking of maybe gluing in place a metal ferrule with 2 -component glue. Good idea?

Really liking that handlebar x stem setup :)
Fork looks a little out of place. 1" carbon would look a lot better indeed.

So I was started putting my new Kinesis 4S disc together at the weekend.
Scuppered by three things:
- Shimano connecting pin refusing to go in (turns out I'd bought an OEM chain from Ribble which doesn't have the longer connecting pin with the chamfered edge, just a little stumpy choad to push in).
- No outer gear cable. I thought my RS685 kit came with them, but just came with inners and brake hose. Is Shimano SP41 the one to go for?
- Wrong disc rotors. Bought centerlock 140mm Avid HSX rotors but I didn't pay attention to the fact that my calipers are IS, not flatmount. So I'll need to use the adaptors supplied with the frame to fit them which means I need 160mm rotors instead. Anyone want to buy some Avid HSX centerlock rotors?
Oh and does it strike anyone else as a bit mean for a £650 frameset not to come with bolts for the bottle cage and rack braze-ons?

I don't see what's the problem here.

- If it's OEM, it should come with a pin or a quick link.
- RS685 kits is just the kit.
- I wouldn't go with 140mm anyway, send it back and get the Shimano disc.
As for bolts, it varies, some come with it, some doesn't (like headset, seat clamp and seatpost).

Bigger frames tend to have slacker seat tube.

It comes with a pin, but it's not the long pin with the snap off bit. It's just the little black cylindrical bit. Ribble say that's normal for OEM chains?
RS685 comes with literally everything else you need to get your brakes and gears sorted except for gear outer cable. Brifters, calipers, brake hose, brake fluid and gear inners. Should've looked more carefully when i opened the box, but never mind.
Yep, got two Ice-Tech RT86 160mm rotors on their way.
And yeah, the frame came with headset, seat clamp, caliper adapters, loads of little bits but not those four little bolts :'( What size bolts are standard for braze ons, out of interest?
I agree, you should get NJS again.
