  • Wait so they can't get it because it was using old fashion projection? If so, fair enough, wouldn't have worked with subtitles either way.

    edit; yup, confirmed by yourlocalcinema.com, made worse by the fact only two cinemas in London can show it so far;

Note: The 70mm version of this film is NOT available with subtitles.

I'm not sure what you mean, but my understanding is that the distributor wouldn't let them show it in London so they refused to pick it up and show it anywhere in the UK.

  • We saw Creed last night, really enjoyable and it's almost like the whole thing has gone full circle. Great fun and definitely worth a watch.

@TW feel free to pm me if you want to know who wins

  • Bridge of spies. Great movie until the final 20 mins kicks in, at which point It descends into a pile of Big American Feelings drivel.

  • The Hateful 8 tonight on the big screen, really fucking funny - Inglourious Django

  • I saw The Danish Girl this evening. It was beautiful, fantastic use of colour. The story is quite intense but it was very well acted and I got fully drawn in to caring for the main characters. Best drama I've seen in ages. Would recommend.

  • Barfly.

  • Wild tales enjoyable shorts stories movie. All about revenge but with a streak of dark humour.

    On Amazon direct video

  • christ's tits that was a rough 2 hours.

  • That pink splash doesn't bode well...which movie is it? :)

  • the world of kanako.

A relentlessly unpleasant and ultimately banal journey into a broken familys heart of darkness.

great soundtrack + opening credits tho.

  • Ah he directed memories of matsuko too imho a fine movie but rather depressing too...

  • I've had hateful eight on...ahem.. My bookshelf... For the last week, but do sort of want to see the 70mm ultrawide panavision version playing at Leicester square. Is it worth it? Should I just read the copy I have instead?

  • I enjoyed it large. Meant to be seen large

  • @EB
@dan Camilla Long gives it 3/5 today and asks 'who will go and see this? Probably no one'
We watched 'inglorious ....' on release in Edinburgh and the audience were quiet me and EB were howling.
I should get out more, Hateful Eight sounds like a reason to me

  • Camilla Wrong #amiright?

  • 5 / 7

  • purchased H8 over the weekend, watched 20 minutes and remembered i really dislike QT fillums so i stopped.

  • I don't like him either, but he does make entertaining films

  • His obsession with the "n" word is worth psychological study. It was good though. Essentially "Reservoir Dogs: The Western."

  • ^ pretty much what I was thinking after seing the trailer

  • Exactly what I thought...

  • I enjoyed it large. Meant to be seen large.

Really annoying I can't see it.

  • I enjoyed it large.

    #twss etc

  • Saw True Romance at PCC on Saturday.
Film is ace, but the audio was shocking. Plenty of scratches on the print and some parts were horrendous, but added to the appeal, but when the audio was distorted it took a lot away.
Still, great to see it on the big screen.

They are showing a 70mm print of Big Trouble in Little China in March, might have to go see that. I am a massive John Carpenter Fanboy
