Fitted a larger chainring and clearance is tight at the chainstay. When I put down the power there's a noise that sounds like the ring is catching the chainstay. Could it be lateral flex of the crank/ring (Sugino Messengers, cheap alu ring) or should I be looking elsewhere?
edit: Or frame flex causing the buzz? It's a supposedly noodly Cotic Roadrat
