    It's not about the aeros. The sweep should go the other way so that the spider arms are in compression, which puts the chainring hoop stress into tension and keeps them circular. If you have the spider arms in tension, the chainring hoop stress is compressive and the rings want to buckle. That's why brake disc rotors are the shape they are, and have a defined direction of rotation

    Ofmega Mistrals are not going to explode in flames as soon as you start pedalling, but once you've seen what's wrong with them you can't unsee it.

    NoQ rings should be fine, just make sure you use something solid to resist the urge of the chainring to collapse into something the shape of cyclodecane :-)
