Yeah that was another option I had considered, tape as @Scrabble suggested or sugru or similar. Just wondered if there was a less bodged solution.
It's a shame, I really want to love the SQR system, it does everything I need, it's just so clumsy and ugly. Will attempt bodge and report back.
