Well bored of Preston by now so that made me lol Ed.

I'm level 18 after a few days play now. I haven't really done anything apart from a few minutemen quests and that thing at Arcwhatever for the BoS guys I found besieged at the police station.

I still get the fear from Deathclaws and run like a coward until my action points are out but then I realise that actually they die quite quickly with explosives. I don't like to do it but missile launchers are very effective and I have high crit perks so meh.

My base is coming on - I'm using the drive-in movie place and have built a flat wooden floor to cover the entire area (can't be building on uneven surfaces) and surrounded it with 3 tier high metal walls. There are ladders down to the water in the centre where I have purifiers and towers/turrets all around the top of the walls. No roof yet, not quite sure how to go forward with it yet but I have the foundations at least.

I'm enjoying aspects of it - I like discovering things that aren't on the map at all - like little well designed raider/scav based (I found a cool one in the north near the co-op where some raiders had built a lift into the wrecked flyover. There was one guard at the bottom who freaked out when I snuck up on him and a bunch of snipers on top who all just leapt to their deaths when the first shot went off. I calmly got in the lift and went up to loot their little home (which had things like a list of headshots daubed in red on a road sign.

I enjoyed stumbling across the robot racing place in Boston but suspect I didn't make full use of it. I killed all the Triggermen and then just took that guys password and blew up all the robots. Suspect there was something more fun I could have done but ho hum.

Also enjoyed figuring out General Atomic Galleria - I haven't really read up on places to visit so it's nice to just come across real WTF moments like that.

FYI, they can't go inside building.

No, but if they can't get to you they may reset and go back to full health.

If you keep aiming for the legs, they won't be able to move much.

A dose of Psycho help wonder.

Ideally work well if you have a Kneecapper weapon.

Are there any awesome Massive CO OP games, apart from DayZ, that LFGSS could all get on? I'm a bit over solo play. Obvs have DayZ but it's an acquired taste.

Never played WoW but was a fairly heavyweight lotro player for some years so like SP I'm in. Vaguely keen on the idea of ES:O but heard nothing but shit about it. Had a beta invite but it was unplayable when I tried so didn't rush back.

Elite: Dangerous

Is there something that one or two people are already a little set up in? Elite: Dangerous website features a man with a goatee which is somewhat off putting but apart from that...
I gave 7 days to die a go but it was crap and looked like it was from PS1 era.

Just stumbled across a base full of super mutants including one named one and several equipped with rocket launchers. Sniped a couple before they realised and flooded after me along with a pack of mutant hounds (one legendary one). Running backwards with no AP available trying to shoot from the hip with a rifle, about 4 mutant hounds on me when out of nowhere comes a legendary radscorpion - the hounds pounce on him and get torn to shreds while I make my escape. I creep back after I can't hear anything and find the radscorpion stuck in a tree with a load of dead hounds around him. I feel a bit guilty shooting him stuck in the tree but not that guilty.

I've seen that robot racing bit used as a n example of why FO4 is a good game just not a good fallout game, killing everyone seems to be the only option and it would be nice to have been able to interact in some way, join in the betting, sponsor a robot or suchlike.

Have been enjoying my less fast travel rule, keep stumbling across really nice touches and out of the way things to explore. Only just found the downed vertibird and half walked away suit of power armour near Sanctuary

Just discovered actual foundations. fucksake. only dropped about 6000 wood on my weird floating shelf of a floor.

didn't want to say anything when i read your first post but lol.

In fairness foundations require concrete too so if anything I've been a thrifty builder.

Wouldn't trust me to build IRL though if I were you.
