This morning's commute and other commuting stories

I've offered puncture help several times but people prefer to walk...

Did accept a lend of a pump from someone when my portable pump was being an asshole.

Denial: All the way to causing a world war of course :)

(but yes, a very human behavior...I sometimes do it too)

Lovely cycle in this morning. The ground had frozen making much of the mud easier to cycle through, crisp air, 2 kingfishers, cold fingers, one heron, icy puddles.

One slight hiccup though - the first time I tried to brake I found my levers were frozen, and so were my shifters!

Of course I sound sarcastic. I don't actually want people to take me up in the offer - I'd be late for work!

Massive shout out to the gent who chased me down around Smithfields this morning to return my sweatshirt that I hadn't noticed had fallen (serves me right for not strapping it down enough.)

No need for that kind of speed today... Try sunny Sweden folks, should you grow weary of London commuting!

Have been out for a client lunch, watch me wobble down the CS7.

Wobbling down the CS7 is among my favourite activities. I always find I work harder. Or at least I think I do...

Plus I generally do it after a couple of post-work pints, which means I dodge the rush hour shenanigans.

I get the same, I have tried all sorts of wording from "need a patch?" to "want some help?" to whatever but people are always confused.

Managed to avoid the heavy downpours this morning, looking forward to the predicted snow on Thursday.

Childcare day today, but spent the time I would have been commuting listening to 'man who sold the world' LP. that was my sentimentality quota filled for the day.

Missed the rain, legs still stiff from the first boxing session since last year.

Stop at the lights of Bond Street (Ealing) and Uxbridge Road notice the fuel all over junction glance over shoulder see chap not slowing tell him to be careful of the fuel as he sails through only to slip over. I help him up and he blames me for distracting him. lol all the way to work. 5/7
