FWIW, I usually have 11-28 paired with 42t, which was fine for everything (and that's on a touring bike).

It's either S-One, G-One, Gravelking 32mm (Slicks) or Compass 32/35mm (If they're tubeless compatible).
Good gearing input. I'm used to 50/34 12-28. Prob not enough high gears with 38t.
Might as well buy when it's cheap (even though stuff on bike24 always seem to be on sale) . At least 2 months until the snow clears here.

Are you going to off road on this? 42t should be ok no? I spend most of the time in the smaller half of the cassette with 42t .. kinda wish had 44t (or 11-32). The lowest gear is lower than my road bike 34-25.
