The figures seem so low. Can anyone weigh in?
Example: me + my bike: 70+10 kg. With my 28mm (Gatorskin) tyres, rear wheel load should be .55x70+5 = 43.5 kg. This would roughly mean just over 70 psi or 4.8 bar. Seems very low to me?
Also, what do they mean by '15% wheel drop'?
In the complete article, it discuss that the optimum pressure should allow the tyre to "deflate" 15% from a hard as rock position.
