  • You were on fixed.

And she's vastly more experienced than me, glided round and probably got twice as much sleep (and probably none of that sleep was in a random shed by the road somewhere near Tinteniac).

Fun times, roll on 2019 (probably).

  • I've already ridden a recumbent

    #dtm

  • I think Sophie has done a sub 60 PBP, she's pretty rapid when not on a sit up and beg bike!

Fancy the Mille du Sud for sure. Has a good reputation and I like that it changes quite a bit each time.

See what my workload is like that end of the year and think about it.

  • Two, in fact. Me and some other racers won a 24hr team race in a Greenspeed many years ago.

    We fucked it up.

    Happy days.

  • Hmm, can I rope you in for a 24hr pedalcar race?

  • is willy warming next weekend? At least three of my colleagues, as well as myself, are doing it.

  • Yes, quite a few on here doing it.

  • Is everyone riding down?

  • I'm undecided, but will probably get the train I think.

  • 16th. I'm out, because 2nd place in a Nat still gets an invite to Champs night :)

  • I'm booked on the WW. Weather pending of course. Totally frozen last year with ice on the roads and sleet showers. In two minds whether to ride fixed or geared. Last year was on fixed. It's pretty flat in case anyone is considering riding it fixed.

  • @amey we're all getting the train from Marylebone at 7.08 which gets us there for 7.39 and then we'll ride to the start.

  • I think I might look and see if there are some spaces. I should probably ride my bike a bit...

  • Signed up to get my willy warmed next weekend. NICE.

  • Hi there, would anyone be up for a 150/200km tomorrow? Starting from London around 7 in the morning. I was thinking of going toward Newhaven and back, as a sort of preliminary survey for a London-Paris later on, but I'm open to other ideas as well :)

  • I was planning an Audax ASAP and saw this...

  • One of my favourite Audax roads: https://goo.gl/maps/TRaJYuKSZNP2

  • Why did Bryan Chapman not take this road?

  • Just a shame some cnut put a rediculously steep road at the end of that valley!

But that is just about the best road in all of Wales.

  • So who's getting their willy warmed this week?

  • Why did Bryan Chapman not take this road?

No idea. Probably a combination of things:-

    • The original BCM route was guesswork as to which roads Bryan used to get up to Menai.
    • Would probably be considered too cruel a punishment.
    • Adds 15km to the route between Bronllys and Tre'r-ddol.

Nothing stopping you going that way though if you do the BCM.

  • Subject to no ice, yes.

  • Probably will have to drop out as my knee was sore after a few hills last Saturday :-(

  • Found another Perm from West London that I might hit up at some stage, from Mr Poor Student.
