Can I get a pair for Dagenham?

No, it's North of the Water.

That's another world.
How about a full house for Feltham?

You'll be asking for a straight of Soho next.....

• #26082
Yes,
thanks to BT Sport.I only like the trucks, (no, not the Hilux coupe), the full on Kamaz, MAN and especially the Tatra, that look like the big brothers of forward control Land Rovers.
What's with the grill on that Iveco? -

What is this, the south London version of Mornington crescent?
Watling tyres, next to Aldi 40 rushey green (I looked for the address) have been good in the past and have a good reputation with motorbikers and car drivers for being really helpful and careful with rims not to damage them.

hHalf a foot of snow means nursery run is now done by car. Bad news is I can't ride, good news is I have a rwd in snow. Much fun, many drift.

Just spoke to the guy at the tyre place, he says that if the valve stem is leaking it's likely that the wheels are corroded - and likely corroded all over, and therefore new wheels are needed.
This sounds a bit over the top - surely they can be refurbished?

Sugru!

• #26088
^^ Alloy rims right? Surely they can be fixed up. Sand and paint, no?
-
• #26089
Isn't wheel refurbishment about a century a corner?
Four new wheels might well cost you less.
-
• #26090
surely if it's just the valve seat area a wire brush and some sealant would fix a valve seat.
It is motivation for new rims though. -

Either new wheels or fit steelies and go for a modern equivalent of this:

It would be a good excuse to fit wide wheels with sticky tyres, but it's usually only £40-£50 per corner for basic refurbs, rather than £100.

In that case I've paid way over the odds.
Balls.

Problem is that I'm flying to Colorado for ten days tomorrow, and the cars front left is flat right now, and I don't really want to leave it sat like that for the entire time that I am away.
I'll try to run it round to the tyre place at lunchtime, see if they can't persuade the valves to hold air.
From a quick Google Lepsons appear to be the place to use round here, at £75+vat per corner.

Widest you can get under the arches would be 235/35/17.

I wasn't far off on pricing then.

Should I just bite the bullet and get one of those places that come out, pick up your wheels then bring them back refurbed to do this?
It would be £432 for the guy to collect my wheels, leave the car on some loaner wheels, refurb them then bring them back and refit.
-
• #26098
just put the spare on and wire brush the offending wheel?
#cheapskate -
• #26099
That'll take four weekends.

• #26100
Just buy new wheels. You'll just get the same issue coming back after time.
What about the running flush of Deptford...
