Its relative and depends on usage etc. How long did your last bike last? The whole carbon doesn't last as long or isn't tough enough argument is laughable. 3 riders finished TCR on Datum.

Steel and Ti is great for hipster points, nostalgia or if you have specific geo or other requirements.

But how long will it last? I'm looking to get 10-20 years out of this thing. And what will carbon look like after I've squashed it into the car a few times? I know ti is pricey but I've been lusting after it since the 90's. I'll check out the Datum now.
