I crashed in Epping Forrest two months ago and bend the rack bracket. I straightened it back out and carried on. A month later the bracket snaps and throws me over the handlebars. Rack is fine and I got new forks for cheap. I will remount the rack and come up with a better attachment system.
Late 2015 has been really tough on my stable. A month ago returning from a cx race a man open his car door right in front of me. Chocked that my worst nightmare has just come true, I react by being really nice about it. I spin the front wheel and as nothing seems wonky, I tell him that I am alright and that the bike is fine. It was dark and the frames is black you know... Disassembling the frame last night I realise that the frame is dead. Downtube and toptube both have kinks. I should have gotten his insurance info..
I am pretty sad about this as I made the bike myself and it is my first proper build. It also means that cx-season is over after only one race. I am contemplating swapping the headtube for a 44mm. Maybe the larger diameter is enough to save the frame. Untill that happens I am looking for a Cotic Roadrat or similar disc cx frame I can buy for peanuts.
Did this to myself:

I hope 2016 will bring better stories than this..
