That sounds like quite a lot for not a lot of head tube angle - if I've got that the right way round.
I think when you're steering it'll feel a bit like it's trying to pull the steering out your hands. It doesn't sound like a huge amount on yours but if the bike has too much trail you won't be able to ride it with no hands because the steering will keep trying to pull away by itself. It might be hard work.

Just looking at options for correcting my erroneous steerer cut last night... (No booze involved).
How does steerer length affect the head angle and rake? Or are you looking to buy new (replacement) forks?

I think it's the other way - increasing rake reduces trail but with the same ultimate result... I'm thinking I'll be best off sticking to 35mm rake..

So, yes, looking for a new fork - cut mine too short last night in a moment of amateur-ville madness... I can get 43mm forks much cheaper than 35mm, which is what I've managed to destroy...

It should be fine. I ran my Rych with a 75 degree ht angle and 43mm rake woundups with no issue. Even if you do notice a difference youll get used to it very quickly
Relative newbie to all this fixed stuff, so be gentle.
So, does anyone have experience of riding a 74.5 degree head tube combined with a 43mm (or thereabouts) rake front fork?

Cheers in advance.
