    I can ride 20+ hours on a stiff race bike with an unpadded saddle. But as soon as I put it on the turbo everything hurts. Even my shoes feel too small.

    Riding a heavy fatbike with a gazillion rolling resistances, through freezing - 8C wind, is much better.

  • Because you're not concentrating on not dying - turbo can make every little niggle exaggerated. Also, peeps tend to move around less on the turbo since there's no need to get out of the saddle or any of the other adjustments we tend to make on the road.

    I could replicate your scenario by riding my balloonbike around London with just a string vest on. #stronglook
