I run 26" 1.3 panaracer pasela on 80 psi which was fine in Scotland. Not the best roads.
I do however have gel inserts under the bar tape which I highly recommend as they help with road buzz :)
Bear in mind I have a sturdy 725 fork with rack bosses, not a carbon number, but for a few quid perhaps worth to put them on?
A test run is a good idea, a 30 km saddle may not be so nice after 100 km...as I found out :)
